Scale:
.scaleX (0 makes it disappear, 1.0 is 100%, 2.5 is 250% of original)
.scaleY

Rotation:
.rotation  (0-360 degrees)
.rotationX (3d rotation)
.rotationY

Alpha (Transparency):
.alpha (0 is disappeared, 1.0 is fully opaque)

Visibility:
.visible = true or false (makes MC appear or disappear)

Welcome to Multimedia Design

This term in Multimedia Design 1 we will be exploring the many uses of computer programming to explore algorithmic art, digital poetry, interactive interfaces, video players and much more.

Our primary tool will be Flash CS5 and we will be learning Actionscript 3.0

We will discuss the reasons for this in class and go over the advantages and disadvantages of this programming environment.

The (highly) suggested text for this class is Learning Actionscript 3.0:

When purchasing this book, make sure and get the 2nd Edition (published in 2010). Also note that there is a Kindle Edition that is less expensive (Kindle has a web browser that does not require a hardware Kindle).
